The Readings That Stopped The Mouths Opposing A Message of Christ's Righteousness

While I eagerly await the availability of Pastor Fordham's sabbath sermon on video, to post it here, I offer a list of the readings Elders Waggoner and Jones presented at the 1888 General Conference session in Minneapolis. To set the stage (not completely, for those of you who've read up on the goings on there) here's a little background. Prior to the General Conference session, Elder Waggoner had been offering editorials in official church publications regarding his understanding that the law in Galatians was the moral law.  Elder Jones had done research on the "10 horns" in Daniel. Without diving into great detail, which you can read here and many other (including official) sources, the older General Conference leadership took issue with the positions of the younger upstart's (Waggoner & Jones) views and it had become personal and contentious. So much so, in fact, that when either spoke, they were, at times, heckled.

To eliminate personal commentary from their presentation, which could be objected to, during one presentation, they offered support for the Gospel of Christ's Righteousness by setting up daises on opposite sides of the stage and alternating, they simply read scripture, allowing it to speak for itself.
